n: Very fruity - pears rather than apples, to me.
Quite a bit of barley in the back there.
Keep sniffing...
A trace of ash on the nose now and I too am getting something spicy (but not enough to identify it)
Time to taste it I think
p: A great whack of fruit - much more than in the nose, together with juicy barley. After a minute or so a hint of lemon.
No, more than a hint - it's getting stronger.
f: Now the finish - which has a bit of nice toffee and more than a trace of licquorice - I fully agree with that one.
Licquorice is something I really like in a malt. This is good stuff.
Time for a little water.
n: The nose has got more ashy now.
Definitely a little more liquorice, and more fruit too.
p: This definitely swims well.
The barley is becoming more Malty nowand overall I've got more flavours from it. Water has definitely opened it up in nose and palate. Lemon in there too.
c: Very good bottling indeed. Well done David Stirk!
