N: Fresh and very citrussy (lemon, grapefruit); unripe green apples. Faint hints of sweetpea and pastry dough emerge. Needs time - becomes pleasantly grassy once the initial alcohol prickle has died away. Water lifts the grass and grapefruit and reveals a hint of melon. P:Very meadowy, with tart lemon flavours couterpointed by a honeysuckle sweetness; powerful alcoholic warmth with an oaky undertone in the background. Water rounds out and emphasises the citrus notes. F: Medium length with tingling citrus, wood and some peppery spice. C: Another terrific bottling from the most-missed of the lost Lowland distilleries.
