click image to enlarge	SMWS 76.57 'Sweet & tangy' Age: 8 yo Vintage: 1999 Strength: 60.2% Bottler: Scotch Malt Whisky Society Tasting Notes: Nose: I think I must have just cut the lawn. And then come in for some Lemon Meringue pie Mrs C57 says raspberries, coconut and hair conditioner P: Oh yumm. This is lovely - sweet and lemony. With a little water it loses some of the grassiness and becomes more lemony. Now there's a hint of bubblegum in it too. F: A trace of bitterness that fits rather nicely with the citrus. Quite long. click image to enlarge	SMWS 76.31 'Marzipan and boiled sweets' Age: 13 yo Vintage: 1989 Strength: 60.3% Bottler: Scotch Malt Whisky Society Tasting Notes: N: Fruit toffee and honeycomb. A trace of smoke (more so with a drop of water, I find) P: Powerful this one. But very tasty with that fruit toffee again. Quite "hot" in the mouth [Edit 01.09.2010] I'm now getting an acrid sulphur-like note tat has reduced the pleasure of this dram to almost nil - yuk!] F: A little bitter, like burnt toffee. click image to enlarge	SMWS 76.37 'Burnt orange' Age: 13 yo Vintage: 1990 Strength: 57.8% Bottler: Scotch Malt Whisky Society Tasting Notes: N: I can see why the Society called it Burnt Orange, but there's more sherry (raisins) than anything else, to my nose. Nicely spicy too! P: A bit of burnt rubber hits me first. Then it smooths out into sherry, with those oranges from the nose. Rich and mouth-coating.
