N: A lightly sherried nose, and I do get the Christmas-cake notes that Stuart mentions. Vanilla and honey, too. The typical sherry oranges are there and buckets of malt.
P: Sherry, followed by a big hit of fruit, quite a bit of vanilla (custard) and barley.
F: Slightly astringent, but then with a surge of malt and barley in the back of the throat. Sweet and dry at the same time
Comments: A very nice whisky which it is a shame they discintinued. I haven't got to buying a bottle of the replacement 16yo yet, but it would be difficult to live up to this. I pt it in he top notch - love it!
