N: A little "winey" with dried fruit at the back. Malty
P: The caramelised sugar from the creme brulee hits immediately, then goes into the slight cardboard - that's what tastes dry to me. A trace of vanilla.
F: The caramel is back. Quite long, finishing on a very slightly bitter note, but now quite mouthwatering.
Comment: Very acceptable - though it took over half a bottle to reach appreciation of it.

P: Fruity and slightly grassy with a touch of astringency. Not mouth-coating, but very slightly oily. Nice balance of fruit and malt. Grapefruit mellows into something less specific - just "fruity".
F: Surprisingly long on a theme of malt, grapefruit and a hint of honey, with a slight bitterness that disappears fairly quickly.
Comments: I'm not a great Glenmo fan (though Nectar is very nice) and I haven't had the mot recent range as I've had so many mediocre older ones hanging around.
Coming back to this older 18, maybe I've missed a trick here. Perhaps I should go and try he Original and the Lasanta. But I've heard of sulphur problems with Lasanta and add that to the general blandness I've always associated with Tain, and I haven't felt the urge.
This 18 is very nice though - typical that I discover that when I'm down to the last tenth of a bottle!
