N: Cereal. A little coffee maybe. Some dry grass and floral notes.
P: Soft and quite sweet. I get liquorice - something I love in whisky. A little fizz about it too.
Actually not bad, though I was spoiled by the 1969
F: A little waxy (like Clynelish) but still sweet. Now I get a trace of bitterness. Surely this can't be caramelised? It doesn't look it, but then, it may have started very pale (unlikely at 25yo).
Also drying which is odd after the sweetness of the palate and the first part of the finish.
Comment: An enigmatic malt. Maybe I'm prejudiced by the 1969, but I found it pretty good
