N: Oranges and bananas, los of barley sugar and a little oaky spice. Very nice nose. After a few minutes a very faint library smell.
P: The barley sugar is there, with maybe some apples? Then some vanilla custard. Very nice mouthfeel
F: Surprisingly long, very sweet custard and cream. Spicey too. All the fruits are there.
C: This is an excellent malt. Thanks to those who voted for this to be my next bottle. I have a feeling it may not last long.
I love the 1966 38yo too, so it seems I may have to investigate the other vintages now.
I see WM gave the 1975 one of its whisky awards in the latest issue. I'm not spending so much on bottles now or I'd rush out and buy it. I may have to saunter out to TWE though...
n : Mmmmm, toffee apples, then spices interwoven with something ... it's like those mentholyptus cough sweets in the background. Yummy
P : So flavoursome - what is it all? Initial hit of sweetness followed by a chewy mouthful of raisins with spicy wood. Also a bit gingery (like Nadurra but mellowed).
F : Spicy, long long finish with thick honey at the end, mingled with more of the ginger,
Wow!
